As responsible of the Art from FF:Dawn of Ivalice, i have mainly worked on the concept and pixel art of the game's main characters and their multiple abilities and fx particles.
On the other hand, I have also had the opportunity to draw and design at the artistic level all the maps of the game and the great majority of props that can be found by the game. I have also collaborated with the people in charge of the user interface to design a large part of icons and portraits in pixel art.
From concept discovery, among all the team we decided that to develop a game of such magnitude as Dawn of Ivalice, all the relevant art of FF: Tactics Advance had to be updated and designed based on an art mood corresponding to the classic pixel dungeon roguelike.
For that reason, and for the characteristic of isometric perspective, each character went on to have 8 directions, a higher level of detail and with unique and characteristic colors of each hero.
